Not really sure why you hatin'. All ccws are is over-priced american made wheels. They bend easily and aren't even that well built.

Here is just a few, I got 2 other people I know that has a cracked ccw wheel and also a bend and they don't track it. And just everyday driving. I got 2 see if I can get them to send me some pics.



I am just saying, maybe the replicas are stronger. Like the ebay oem replica foglights vs oem Honda/Acura foglights.
Anyways, discussion is over. Just making a point that CCW isnt the god of wheels and greatest thing on earth.

 

Yeah? Volks crack too, as do Advans, SSRs, Enkeis, etc. ALL wheels will break eventually, given road condition, wheel condition, external factors that we can't control. CCWs are expensive because they are just that, COMPLETE CUSTOM wheels.

And to stay on topic. Cool, more knock offs.

 

I've seen more sets of 949s crack than that.

I also don't think CCWs are the god of all wheels but I wouldn't call them poorly built.

 

If you have 40 series tires "rubber band" and driving in good old jersey or dc roads. Your wheels will crack or bend no matter if you are rocking Gods gift in JDM land or the consumer friendly wheels(rotas, avid etc). This is coming from owning volk te37s which was bent, kinesis and currently on ccws.

And the beauty of owning a real 3 piece wheel. I can always get the outer or inner barrel replaced. Try that on a set of volks or mugens.

Only wheels I've ever bent were 17" Konigs in PA(2001) on 205/40 tires. Never again. I do 205/45/16 or 205/50/15.

 

DC does not have pot holes. They have sink holes!!

I understand they are knockoffs but no point in bashing the company. Xxr and rotas dont get bashed.

Not everybody has the need for super light forged wheels that easily surpass the cars value.
But they serve their purpose for a street car. And cheap enough to quickly replace should something happen.

 

I'm not sure which Forum you're on but Rotas and XXR get bashed on all the time. The rest of the fanboi's defend them because that's how bullshit PC it is around here.

 

rotas, avid, sportmax, password JDM, Private Label... I support these companies for providing parts that are affordable to the public. Import scene wouldn't be as big as it is today. Not everyone can afford $2k set of wheels.

HT has plenty of members that has nothing better to do but bash these "knock-off". You know WHO YOU ARE! That's their way expressing they are too good and they are soo JDM.

Rotas and XXR pretty much any rep wheel company get's bashed all the time. I don't have anything against rep wheel's I just would never buy some. I understand if you DD your beater civic no need in spending 1300 bucks on nice wheels just go with reps just don't try and pass them as the legit company.

 

i hate on knock off companies ONLY because they can not/ do not put i the time/r&d/ proper resources into producing THEIR own wheel. They wait to see what these fanboi/fagboi's like and rip off the hard and VERY expensive work others have dedicated most their company if not personal lives into developing. the knock off/rep scene is 100% what is wrong with this country today. they are not willing to put i the work to EARN what they want (not just talking about buying part) they want EVERYTHING handed to them or steal from everybody else.
