Default How is the CRX/EF horn set up?

Hey guys. A little out of my area here, I normally lurk the EG subforum. I am working on a 95 civic ex sedan that I just got done putting back together. I decided I wanted to get rid of some things like the ABS, charcoal system, and the SRS airbag system. The problem i am running into now is getting the horn to work without the SRS computer and the clockspring that goes behind the stock SRS steering wheel. I will be upgrading to an aftermarket wheel somewhere down the line and want to prep my car for such an upgrade.

I am currently using a shoehorn (copper contact) from a crx/ef that is running to my horn relay under the dash. When tapped into the blue/green wire at that relay, the horn sounds. Which is great and all, but I want the horn to sound when I press the actual button lol. I'm wondering if someone could show me how the horn is setup in your cars. I'm particularly wondering about the wiring inside the steering wheel. I have 2 red wires that used to be fed by the blue/red wire in the clockspring. I want to know what I should feed those red wires now that the clock spring is no longer in place.

I don't have a car to look at, but the blue/red wire was fed from the horn switch, and it's a ground trigger.

I'm not sure, but one of the red wires are probably a ground, and the other was downstream of the switch. I'm looking at a wiring diagram and it does not state the colors between the switch and clockspring.

grounding out the blue/red wire with a switch should activate your horn. should test potential connections with a multimeter to confirm.

In my car, there was a blu/red wire that came off the clockspring for the airbag system and that blue/red wire plugged into the two red wires with a male+female spade combination.

Removing that clockspring gives me nothing to plug to the red wires in the wheel.
