Hood Latch Alarm
I've got a 2002 Accord Ex and i'm having that problem where the alarm goes off for no apprent reason.. I looked it up to see what could be causing the alarm to go off. Pretty much every where i looked it said most likely it was the Hood latch that was causing it to go off. So, i unhooked it wire but now when I arm my car and leave the windows open and when i pull on the lock to open the alarm doesnt go off. Makes me worried that the alarm no longer works?

Hey when I first bought my 2002 coup se i had the same problem. I hadta disconnect the battery .
What you do is USE BRAKE CLEANER and clean the latch area under your hood and the surrounding areas. There is grime/oil/debris there so it acts as a conductor to the alarm and hence alamrm goes off throhought the night.
ONce i used Brake cleaner, it was alll fixed.
