01 accord infamous 1361 code troubles
Bought an 01 w a bad motor, still ran but center cylinder has 30 psi, bought another low mile motor swapped in now I have the 1361 code, clear it and it does off and hard to start and code reappeared. Changed distributors and vtec sensor , still shows code, read about the crank position sensor, is there a way I test this before I tear into the cover to replace it. I've also read that it can be bypassed, can someone shed some light thanks
It's the CAMshaft sensor, not the crankshaft sensor. Is it plugged in all the way? Are the connections good? With the sensor disconnected and the car ON (II), measure for voltage on the harness side of the connector. What wire(s) are you getting voltage to?

I appreciate the replies, I'm aware of cam and crankshaft placement, that's why I was calling it the crankshaft sensor as to it enters at the bottom of the harmonic balancer
Had a buddy print out all data diagnosis for me it says test ohms at the sensor plug. Sensor on car shows 2.18 and 2.14 on pins 1-2 on the original motor it shows between 2.32 and 2.33 on pins 1-2. According to the specs Gould be between 18-2800 so from what I'm understanding there both in spec?? Any help to get this car going would be appreciate, is there a way to truck the ECM to thinking the input is correct to turn off the 1361 code?
