2006-2008 Civic rear control arm / rapid tire wear settlement letter
Anyone else receive the letter from Honda regarding a potential settlement?
I purchased and installed the new rear control arms out of warranty and hope they will reimburse me.

I was told mine was not covered by warranty going off of vin. Was originally told it covered all of a certain model within that year but was not the case.
To ALL 2006/7 Civic Owners,
I am the class representative for the action against Honda regarding rapid/excessive tire wear.
To date the court has accepted our case and Honda is taking forced action to resolve, in part, the issues that have caused many of us undue cost and frustration with regard to our having to replace tires prematurely.

Anyone know if rear shock replacement qualifies? I had this same issue and had to replace tires at 45k, but they said it was rear shock not control arm.
Mike dog,
No, shocks have nothing to do with this campaign. Please see website for detailed information.

Hello,
You're welcome! Please share your overall experience regarding this matter. I'm proud to be the spearhead of this class action and I'm very happy to know someone has benefited from it.
This process started in 2008 when I started researching and learned so many 2006-7 Civic owners were affected by Honda's dishonesty. I'm happy we were able to hold accountable Honda America for their blatant attempt to push on to us the cost of their incompetence.
I still own my Civic. But, I won't purchase another Honda. Integrity is lost on them.
To All- please share your experiences.
Thanks

So I am going to bring up an old thread. I called and it looks like my VIN is not covered. Should I call Honda and try and get this pushed through???
The control arms (upper) on affected models need to be updated. The revised control arm has the letter "C" stamped on it. You can simply look under the car and check to see if yours are stamped. If they are, you are not eligible. If not, I would contact Honda and go to the settlement website and file a claim.
