Default Removing paint from ef rear garnish

Hey guys, aninfinite here. I wanna start by saying thank you to everyone that replied to my "blown ball joint" thread. The egay camber UCA is gone and my new oem set improved the ride immensely. I'll post an update pic on that thread soon. Though that is a win I gotta continue on my "quest" to repairing everything fagbreath did to my hatch. So fagbreath thought it would be "cool" to paint.. Yes PAINT the rear garnish black. Worst Is it's done terribly and ridiculously ricer looking. I was thinking of using paint thinner.. But would that destroy the civic logo under the paint? Any and all insight on restoring this garnish would be very appreciated. As you all may know, I've found out that these garnish's are few and far between. And when you do come across one, its usually pretty pricey. I'm uploading some pics of its current state, thanks guys

That sucks, have you tried looking in junk yards though? They should be pretty common. The "JDM" ones go for around $100 on ebay, but if your just looking for a stock US garnish, it should be much cheaper.

I would try to salvage this one first of course, my guess is some paint thinner by hand on a microfiber or something along those lines could work, Id just be worried about distorting or melting the plastic.

Take it off using any means necessary, as long as you dont damage the garnish. New Civic decals are available and cheap!
