We can set you up with a low-mileage, complete jdm swap. Shoot me a PM, call the shop (Discount Auto - 509.474.9894), or email me at erik@spokanediscountauto.com

Keep in mind that you get what you pay for.

The absolute best please to buy from is Hmotorsonline.com

May not be the cheapest, but you will receive the cleanest, most complete, and lowest mileage motors.

I'm not going to get into a dispute about business vs. business, but I will tell you - not only from personal experience, but through several customer stories Hmotorsonline.com has some of the worst customer service; their shipping times are outrageous, and they seem unwilling to give legitimate answers as to when orders will actually ship. Not to mention their warranty is horrible - basically it states they guarantee the engine will start up. THAT'S IT!

Just because a company has been doing it the longest, doesn't make them the best place to do business with.

Funny, you're the first person I've ever heard anything negative about HMO from. For someone who doesn't want to get into a dispute, you're doing a lot of mud slinging.

Also, if you want to advertise, there are rules about that. You aren't a sponsor.

hmotors screwed me over on a h22 swap. i spend over 20k with him in one year and he claimed "it's part of the business sometimes you get a bad apple, i paid for the swap so should the customer---steve"

i got a h22 swap with a destroyed transmission (m2B4) lsd trans...

Ended up having to buy a m2a4 off of ebay which made me pissed because he said he would not give me a decent trans as a swap out. He insist i damaged it although when i removed the trans to replace the clutch it was in a million pieces and broken to death and so i installed a fidanza 8lb and a exedy stg2. Test drove the car just to find out 2nd gear was bad (*had to keep your body weight on the shifter to keep it in gear, 3rd gear slight grind, 4th gear was locked out and of course 5th was ok)

I will say i have gotten some excellent condition swaps from him but IF you do happen to get a bad one, GOOD LUCK lol

I've had my history with HMO.

When purchasing a JDM B16 for an older car I had, I recieved it with the valve cover completely smashed. All the peices were all over the inside of the motor.

Long story short, they never did send me a new valve cover.

I did hear a while back that HMO had issues. Are these recent bad experiences?

I heard the same thing! And this was about 3 1/2 years ago. Everything up to current has been good.

well in 2012 is when my incident happened. so thats pretty recent. Steve does NOT care about customers, point blank FACT.

I spend a ton with him and i was not taken care of one bit and i honestly think their whole company is a flop.

Wanna know something cool? EBAY! i have bought several complete swaps off ebay and all were mint condition and exactly as described. the ebay japanese import swap sellers are quite helpful and really great people.

So guys, I found an H22A motor, automatic trans and ecu on HMO for a good price. So can I put that into my civic (2000 EX Coupe) It is currently Automatic, yes I know..sad but oh well get over it lol im looking to do a manual swap later on when I come across the money but still keep the h22. So would this be possible? Please don't say something that has nothing to do with the question like that automatics are stupid and staying automatic would be retarded, if I could dish out an extra grand + id do the swap for sure...but I don't got the money as of now lol just answer if I can put an auto trans h22a motor into my civic, if so does anyone know someone who has it is it reliable? Can you feel a good amount of power difference than a stock D16y8 motor? I really just want more power honestly my car has 0 pick up lmfao.

P.S Sorry for the novel ^^ -_-

I searched and can not find that swap done. Although I only searched for a few minutes. I would just save up and get a 5 speed at the same time.

NO, the h22 AUTO swap is not something to put into a civic. UNLESS you have the ability to fully fabricate a mount kit.

I am not aware of a h22 auto swap mounts for 92 95 civic/9401 teg

BTW, no reason to even do an engine swap if you are staying auto..i see no point in doing so.

H22 5speed is where its at, trust me, all i do is put h swaps in civics/tegs for ONE exception i am doing a b20 in a 96 hatch just for my wife and she doesn't need the headaches of having no traction in rainy weather and she needs A/C. You can keep a/c with an h/f swap but most of the time you do not put it in because if you are choosing a h swap you know you what's up, roll the windows down and go hit high rpms and feel the POWA! lol

amen brother.

Ebay is an excellent source for JDM high quality used engines/transmission/ whole swaps.

The last h22a with LSD m2b4 trans i got came out of canada and it was not even cleaned up or pressure washed and it appeared to have MAYBE 20k miles on it...maybe even less. the internals were amazing.

hmotors you should feel like this

ebay seller with high feedback you WILL be

That might be what I do with the hatch next. Wife wants a CRV and I get her hatch as a project car.

yeah dude for someone advertising and not getting in a business vs. business dispute, are things that bad for your comapny you have to dis thiers?

OP you're probably better off looking up exactly what you need for the swap & getting the little salvageable parts from a junkyard to start.
