help please ef sedan pedale assembly removal
There should be 6 nuts holding it to the firewall and one that is hidden facing up, between the steering column and steering frame (I don't know the direct terminology there). Anyways, drop the steering column and you'll see the hidden one. Also, use the search function and it might help. I can't tell if the pics are gone because my work blocks certain sites but if you put in a little effort searching here or on google you'll come across the pics (I just searched on here and got a few hits).
You've made it that far, I'm certain it's just that one last nut that's right above the steering column. I experienced the same thing years ago and I'll never forget the hidden nut.
You wont' have to remove the switch but you will need to unplug it.

I literally just did this yesterday in my '91 DX. Remove the driver's seat first, it's held on with only 4 bolts and you'll be glad to have the extra work space. Disconnect the wires from the fuse panel, drop it out of the way. Drop the steering column to the floor as well, it's held up by four bolts and two nuts. Pull out the two ducts that run above the steering column. The section that's in your way isn't held by any fasteners. Disconnect the throttle, brake, and clutch pedals (the brake pedal is the only one fastened, the clutch and throttle cables just hang on the pedals). All the bolts should be clear as day at that point. There are six that hold the unit to the firewall, plus one that holds it above the brake pedal.
I used various combinations of a 12mm deep socket, 12mm regular socket, 3" and 6" extensions. The whole job took me less than 5 hours, and that's only because I got hung up trying to get the ducting out. If I had to do it again I could probably do it in less than half the time. I'm not going to reinstall the ducting, but I assume you would have to remove the dash to do so.
I'm going to post some pictures in my thread in a few hours. If you're still having trouble check back and they may help.
