Default Rebuild tranny?

First off i'm not to educated on tranny's. But i have a cw 98 R and i have to replace the shift fork, 2-3 syncros, and sleeve set. Which is running me $1350.00. Would it be better, cheaper, or easier to replace the whole tranny as opposed to rebuilding it? Your opinions are needed. Thanx

well I guess you aren't doing the work yourself with that price quote huh?
the cost of dropping the tranny (and cracking it open) is a huge chunk of that cost and will still be a part of the cost to replace a tranny if you jsut buy a new one. You can sell your old one, but not for too much if those are its problems. See if you can find a nice guy to help you do the work, for the fee of a case-o-beer. I would help for a case-o-dew, but I am not near you at all... sorry.
