OK, this isn't my car. It's actually a friend's 92 teg. The car has been sitting for about 6-7 days in a covered garage area. When she got back it wouldn't start. She turns the key and the interior lights come on but the car won't crank up. She tried to jump it but it still won't start. What are some possible causes? If it were the battery or the alternator the car would still start from a jump right?

Also, can anyone reccomend a good honda/acura mechanic in Miami?

Thanks in advance for any help. Let me know if you need more info. The car has about 150K miles on it and no major mechanical issues that I know of. I have no idea if it's throwing codes and I doubt she'll get down there to find out.

bump, no one has any ideas?

 

fusible link, or put the car in neutral..and let it roll alittle.and then try starting..more then likely the starter frooze! Also swap out the old gas.

You really need to give more info. When she tries to crank it does it click, or does the engine turnover and just not start? The question needs to be defined more before you can get help. And just because they tried to jump it- I have seen many a people try to jump a car incorrectly as well.
