Default suggest Inexpensive power upgrades for FG2

Lets say you were on a budget of 1k-1.5k, what would you do to maximize as much power as you could at this budget. Thanks.

At the 1.5k mark I'd say hondata and a decent header. Bare minimum hondata, makes the car not suck.

skunk2 alpha header/skunk2 intake/full race exhaust would come right about 1.5k and would be a nice increase in power!

I've been out of the game for awhile..and came to find out the source i used to purchase the majorty of my aftermarket parts has gone out of business. Any input as to where to purchase the above suggestions without taking a bath on price.

well i order most of my stuff from Teknotik but they are in Canada... you being in the states I would look at maybe some of the vendors on HT here. I believe you could buy most of the stuff i mention straight from the companies themselves though...

go with a budget header. you can get a PLM header (kiddracing) off ebay cheap like 300 bucks cheap.

Then go to vitviper on 8thcivic and get the FP + tune deal. I believe you might have some money left over which you can spend on a decent CAI like aem, k&n, injen.

You're a more retarded (if that's even possible) version of JoeBlue.

A Flashpro is definitely the place to start. It's $700 new, or you can find a used one for $500-550. From there, use whatever is left over for a CAI and exhaust. Finally, get a header once you have all of that.

FTFY.

Anyone could turbocharge it for 1.5k...but having something that wont blowup once you take it over 6k rpms is a different story.

If buying new parts, a Flashpro alone is $700. That leaves $300-800 for the tune (labor cost), and the entire turbo setup. I don't know if you can even find a quality turbo by itself for that price.

Theres really only so much you can do before you have to do some head work or change pistons just internals. You can make sure you are getting the coldest air possible through the intake, get a high flow exhaust but be carefull you need some back pressure if your engine is stock you can actually lose power. Honestly if I was on a 1.5k budget I would just get some cams and build the head. 3 angle valve job and shave it to up the compression. if you did it yourself u would save on labor costs

Most K20z3s can handle up to about ~420hp on stock internals. But to get over that hump you need significant work.
