Seat Belts Lifetime Warranty
Searched for an answer to this question but couldn't find an answer... The driver side and the passenger side seat belts on my caR won't retract on their own, I have to hand feed them back (slowly) every time or else they just hang loose and are all over the place. It gets really annoy because if I don't hand feed them back they'll just hang out of the car when I'm leaving and get in the way when I'm trying to close the door. Also I've noticed that they aren't that "tight" when they're buckled, I feel like if the car was to get into an accident the seat belts wouldn't do anything. My questions is that are my seat belts covered under the lifetime warranty? Do I have to pay anything at all to have them fixed/replaced? Seat belts not retracting back on their own, is that covered under the lifetime warranty? Thanks in advance for your help everyone!
It is my understanding that the OEM seatbelts are covered under lifetime warranty. The tough part is you will need to take your car to an Acura/Honda dealer for the inspection and warranty support. So make sure you pick a safe dealership for this work.
I've had seat belts replaced under the lifetime warranty for two previous cars. The service manager will take a look at it and make the decision. You probably will need to be persistent about getting it replaced because they won't benefit from fixing it for you.
I took off my panels exposing the seat belt mechanisms both times for the peace of mind that I know the panels won't get damaged in the removal and installation process.

I've had it done for both my Integras, went and told them the belts were slow to retract, they inspected the belts and got the warranty approved to get new belts. Apparently it was a 400 dollar repair, and it was done in 2 hours when I did it over 6months ago.
Gonna have to try this again for the Hondas in my household, but it is under a different dealership group and last time they only replaced the buckle and not the belt saying to just clean the belt, but I think they didnt want to do the warranty work on the belt itself

Honda shop Im at we just inspect it for normal wear and tear and it gets replaced under warranty, on the other hand the Acura dealer which is hundred yards away wouldn't even do it so..... Just try your luck.
P.s people try to do "dog chew on belt" on warranty and it won't work lol

From working as an acura service advisor they are covered for life. Car has to have a clean tittle and not been messed with. Downfall is that sometimes parts become unavailable.
Just take the car to an Acura dealer and tell them the problem. You may also have to pay the diag fee until they are "authorized" to repair under warranty... I know dealers do this to make sure they get paid, silly but still done.
GL!
Just call Honda of North America Corp. and ask. I have a 1997 Nissan pick up truck and the driver side belt is worn where the buckle is. I called Nissan Corp. and they checked their system and told me the belts had a 10 year warranty only.
