A buddy at my new unit(Army) just purchased a 93 civic because I had told him that I had some experience with civics (he doesn't currently know a clutch from a piston). I told him to purchase the car because it has a LS motor in it and a GSR transmission. The transmission was missing reverse gear when we bought it so I took out the trans and found out that the syncro sleeve (I would believe that is the right name) was mushroomed over slightly causing the car to not go into reverse, so the new sleeve is going to be installed today. I gave him a list of things to do to the car to start off with and he has purchased almost everything so far but I don't know anything about B series motors so I need help in this category. Below I will list all of the parts that are either on the car or are already ordered and on their way. Please feel free to give advise on other modifications that should be done to make this a better car all around.

LS motor (B18B1)

SRI w/ K&N filter
Destroyed DC Sports header

JDM style turn signals
Straight pipe from header to muffler to exit.

BOOST ! or LSV if you want. don't waste $ on engine mods for a non-vtec B

 

you say boost or LSV why not both or is it not efficient?

 

That's your choice. All motor on these things is just a money pit.
Be warned that if you don't do the LS/V to the letter your **** will run like crap or never run at all. If you know nothing about turbos then put that out of your mind.

 

you didn't specify a budget but as grumble said they can/will run like **** if not done right.
