B18cR high idle/no vtec
Hey guys! first off just want to say that my car is a 1998 gsr WITH a jdm ITR motor. I'v been having this problem for a while now and iv posted it up on the regular integra forum, but that has got me absolutely nowhere... PLEASE HELP : (

My question.
I have a 98 gsr with a jdm itr and p73 ecu. Intermittently the cars idle will go up AND vtec wont work. It goes back into its "warm up" procedure just like i started her from being cold/sitting awhile. if i turn her off and back on. idle drops back to normal and vtec works properly. searched EVERYWHERE and no one has this exact problem.
I'm pretty sure its a bad sensor but dont know which one..
been going on for 8 months and i can not take it anymore. I just replaced my ECT connector (it was cracked) and that didnt do anything. Just replaced the ECT sensor itself which again did NOT solve the problem..
So what sensors control it knowing when engine temp is warm enough to drop idle or what electrical systems aid in this so i can start narrowing down the problem? It also very weirdly enough seems to happen more at night time. from south jersey so its mid 80s during day and mid 60s at night. dont know if the temperature plays a part in this or not.
So any insight on this matter will greatly be appreciated!
* Put original cluster back on (didnt do anything)
* Cleaned IACV (no help)
* Engine oil is at perfect level
* Grounds are perfect. even added 2 more.
* Replaced ECT connector
* Replaced ECT sensor

yes sir. i just pulled them using the jumper
I got 6 codes..
1. Coolant temperature
2. Throttle angle
3. No 1 cylinder position
4. Vtec solenoid valve
5. Knock sensor
6. 02 sensor heater
Now would i have some of these codes because it has a swapped motor in a gsr shell? i can see #6 because i have a straight pipe on with no 02 sensor.
Why would i have a coolant temperature light? i just replaced (auto zone part) it was on a sunday and wanted to get it done that day.
