what cams wont require a tune
im building a b18b and i was looking at the crower cams and im not sure, what duration and lift would b ok to put in with out having a tune done. i do not have access to a tune
Nothing. I don't even know why you're attempting to "build" it if you have no intentions of getting it tuned. Do you even know what that entails?

You can't run any of that aftermarket stuff without a tune. I don't know how he could be so vague if he has done this on a Honda before. You think he would know exactly huh?
Possibly there are other stock B-series cams you could use but that's your homework to find out if and which.

I didn't say B-16 specifically. I said B-series.

Stop. Just stop. Stop ******* with motors, stop trying to build anything. Pick up a service manual or two. Read them. Open the FAQ's sticky. Read it all. Start doing some learning. You can't just go at it with some tools and random parts - it doesn't work that way.
Learn what lift and duration mean for cams. BC cams are long, and lopey. Like grumble has already tried telling you, any aftermarket cam will require a tune.
Any cam you get is gonna need a tune AND retainers/springs. You also need to know if its a turbo or NA cam and what supporting mods you MUST have to run it
yea bro only thing you might not need a tune is a intake, header exhaust etc...anything internal even cams would need a tune,,,they run about 300 ...not expensive at all.

if you don't have access to a tune then don't bother doing anything to it, just leave it stock or just buy a more powerful stock engine, and if you still persists on building then buy yourself a hondata, aem, or neptune research and play with it at your own risk.
