Default Window (manual) won't roll down.

My driver's side window on my '89 Civic will not roll down.

I got the door panel off and lubed up all moving parts of the mechanism but it still wasn't moving. I then removed the 4 bolts that hold the crank (regulator?) and the window then came down along with all the mechanism coming down to the bottom of the interior of the door.

Now I can move the window fully up & back into place, but then I can't get the bolt holes to line up for the crank mechanism.

I don't know what to do next; remove the window glass & then remove the entire crank (again, is it called a regulator?) and then diagnose the problem?

Yes, it is called a regulator.

I had an issue where my window wouldn't roll up without coming off track. I found out that the rubbing in the track that the window slides along was bulged in the track and wouldn't allow the window to pass through. I couldn't find any new molding, so I just went to a junkyard to get it.

My regulator arm was also bent from the previous owner trying to force the window up.

As far as your window is concerned, you don't have to pull the glass out. You can remove the seatbelt assembly and then remove the regulator through the access hole. You do need to replace your regulator, though. likely, the little gear is stripped. They are hard to find, hatchbacks, because nobody makes an aftermarket one. I finally found one at a junkyard.

Thanks for your reply.

Nobody makes an aftermarket one for a hatch?!?!

I guess I missed that when I first read your post. Because I missed it, I ordered one from Partsgeek and got this,
Old regulator with glass

New regulator with glass

Clearly the tabs on the window does not fit the new regulator.

Any leads out there on how to fix this?

You can do the obvious thing and return it. Or since it looks like there the same other then the rail the window mounts to you can open up the tab on your oem one. Slide it off and put it on the one you ordered. May work may not. Not sure just spit balling.
