hi I have a 96 Honda accord with a new f22b engine and trans from h motors in California how ever the accord had a f22b2 as the old motor but the new set up is in the car and running good besides the transmission hits the passanger side radious arm when hitting a little bump need to no how to fix went to junks yards in Louisville ky and didn't find nothing thanks your help will be wonderful.

 

Did you change from AT to MT?

 

no the car always was AT so kept it that but it was a 4 speed and got changed to 5speed automatic transmission there is a little black cap on the end of the transmission that the radious bar keeps hitting

 

Radius rod shape changes depending on transmission.
CD MT cars have a round rods on both sides
51352-SV4-003 ROD, R/L FR. RADIUS
CD AT cars have a flat rod to clear the larger AT case.

You may have to use a radius rod from either a later model 98-02 Accord have a large saddle bend,

or a 92-96 Prelude which has a bend

or 97-01 Prelude
51352-S30-013 ROD, FR. RADIUS

or 95-? Odyssey which had a gear indicator on the right side cover.

...to clear the 5spd AT.

But you will need to verify that the rods are of the same length and have the same two bolt pattern on the arm and where the bushing is mounted.
