Default Wheres a good place to learn about cars?

I roam around the forum sometime and have no idea what it is and what its for. I know the basic things but stuff like the enginge and whats under the car confuses the crap outta me. I dont know whats important or not important or when to fix or not fix. I do alot of research sometime but I just wanna know how you guys got started with this..

By doing it. If something happened I researched it, asked questions to locals, researched it some more, and finally attempted repairing/modifying.

Documentation helps. The shop manuals will have "component locators" that tell you where something is located. Half the battle is trying to find the gizmo and knowing what it looks like. The manuals will also give you a system description. I find the Honda manual is a little weak compared to Ford, but a lot of the basics are the same between different brands.

There's a ton of stuff on the web. Check out Eric the Car Guy. He has a lot of youtube videos on Hondas.

Once you're armed with all this knowledge, then you gotta go use it as mentioned above. There's no substitute for hands-on experience.
