Water in trunk/backseat, continued.
Original conversation is here - https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=311497. Thought I'd start a new thread for clarity's sake.
Like I said in the final post of the original thread, I cleared out the small amount of debris that had accumulated in the moonroof drain tubes, and trimmed the drain nipples so it wouldn't happen again.
I've since reinstalled them, and took it to a car wash to test them out - no problems. I aimed the spray directly at the rear of the moonroof, and everything drained out the side like it's supposed to. So if that was my problem, it's now solved.
But I'm waiting for it to rain again before reassembling the trunk, as I'm still not convinced that was the entire problem. It seemed to me I had more water coming in when there was lots of puddles & wet roads than when it was actually raining really hard. But anyway, it's supposed to rain on Saturday (as per usual), so I'll take her out & find out then.
If it's still leaking, I'm going to tape shop towels over every square inch of the trunk to see where it gets wet first. Hopefully I can narrow it down little by little. I'm sick of being able to hear the gas slosh around in the fuel tank, I want my rear seat back.
Just as a note, reinstalling the drain boot/nipples for the moonroof was a real pain. I found that by warming them up some so they'd be flexible (just kept them in my pocket for 10 or 15 minutes before hand) and using some glycerin (aka KY jelly . . . .) made it possible to get them into place. It was still pretty annoying - tough to get that o-ring on all the way around, and not much space/light to work with.
