Default Ecu change????

Ok i have 2002 honda accord 2.3l uluv f23a4 5speed. I did an engine swap now i have f23a jdm motor. My question is can i change my ecu for either f23a1 or f23a ecu with no problems? Then i can run the f23a exaust manifold and intake. Or is there anyone hear that could delete my knock sensor off of my ecu or is there anykind of chipped ecu i can buy to do away with it?

Considering you have the ulev, you're kinda in uncharted water since you live in the most emissions restricted state in the nation. Perhaps someone with more knowledge of the subject can chime in but I really think you need to use your existing ecu with your setup or you will need to perform some sort of BAR certification for the new motor if you use a new ecu. Again, I'm not really sure how it'll work with your unique situation.

Then just get a jdm ecu and call it a day. The usdm will have an immobilizer you will have to deal with.

Ok that's what I'm gonna do. Just got one more question i assume that the transmission is controlled by the same ecu. Or does it have it have a separate one?
