Default coolant temp sensor?

the radiator fan and condenser fan are both not turning on. the car overheats when at idle and the a/c blows warm at idle. would a bad coolant temp sensor cause both fans not to turn on?

It is definitely a possibility.

Jump your fan plug and turn it on directly with power to make sure they both work quick.

there are two sensors you can check/change. the one in the radiator and the one in the head. i had an issue where my fans would turn on and stay on. i changed the sensor in the radiator at first and the issue was intermittent, then after i changed the second sensor the issue went away completely
