Default New Project: 1991 Crx SI b18 powered :)

My buddy and I put this car together for him in 2004 and it was run a total of 1500 miles or so before it was stored. He had his first of two children and the car pretty much sat in storage till a few months ago. I picked it up from him for 3k last month and I am finally getting around to sorting it out for some summer fun

Rundown :

91 CRX si chassis (214k miles)
JDM B18 GSR swap
Hasport mounts w/ hydro conversion
OBD1 Hondata s300
Custom intake
Ebay header
Thermal catback
KOni/ground control suspension
Fullrace front cross-member

Current plans/issues to resolve:

Gas tank is about 1/2 full with 5+ year old gas
Engine and transmission fluilds need changing 5+ years old
battery is completely dead
Speedo was not working the last time the car was driven
Sunroof is jacked up from attempted break in in 2005

Any other advice on what should be looked over?

Check your seals on the motor. Behind the distributor, cam seal,V-tech solenoid etc. Rubber tends to dry out when the oil splashing around in there. Also tires might have flat spots, if the car wasnt on jack stands

Why the F would they try to go through the roof? All sorts of slightly worn keys will work for CRX door locks most of the time...oh well.

Best part of that...

The car was parked on a back street...

they stole the beat up front seats and the worn out shift ****...

never popped the hood

Seems the cable for the speedo is too short

i'm not 100% sure but if i remember well, the throttle cable you need for a b swap in a ef is either from a DA or a del slo vtec

Da Speedo cable should work fine. I'm surprised that it is too short, I've used both auto and manual speedo cables on b swaps and they work just fine

Car starts and drives great. everything is sorted out except the gauge cluster lights.

None of the bulbs in the cluster light up could a bad dimmer switch do this?

Check your fuses for interior lights.

Also, I would recommend a new timing belt. 5 years of sitting in the same spot creates permanent bends in the rubber and when you try and start using it again it doesnt like it... Cheap insurance really.

Yeah all the fuses are good.
Engine tune up is next month with a set of ITR cams.

the dimmer switch might be the guilty party me thinks
