hello everyone , i have a 08 civic Si that i got a few days back and found these unplugged located by the front driver side where the battery is,not sure where they belong but it is driving me crazy lol . the car has a check engine code i got it checked says its the "ECT" not sure if this has anything to do with it , also the car is rebuilt title from front end crash if that helps any .. thanks in advance

 

I think you mean ECT (Engine Coolant Temperature). It looks like one is the ECT. It should be sticking out of the thermostat housing where the top radiator hose meets the engine.

Just guessing because of the yellow wire(s) but, the other looks like an airbag sensor. You'll have to take off the bumper cover and look underneath the real bumper at the corner of the car.

 

i'll have to check it out , and i'm pretty sure it is an airbag sensor cause the little thing that lights up when there's no passenger and the airbag is off (i suppose thats how it works ) never lights up , and since it was a front end crash i figure it had something to do with removing it so something wouldnt light up ..hopefully i don't end up replugging it and getting all my airbags deployed lol

 

I would check to be sure it is the airbag sensor but, I wouldn't plug it in until the entire SRS system is checked. As of right now you probably don't have airbags.

 

yeah ,still trying to find out where to take it to ..regardless i'm sure its left unplugged for a reason along with the ECT sensor , i guess i'll just have to find out .
