So I decide to change my valve cover cause the one it had the paint was falling already, I found one for 5$ in mint conditions, well when I took of the valve cover I saw like red inside, what is the cause of that and what can I do to fixed, i had own this car over a month or less, thank you

 

Car is a 1990 Crx si with 180,3xx miles. Stock engine

looks red brownish, it is normal, on older engines it will go to black, it is the color of backed oil/additives

 

I don't think that is right.
It should be stained yellow not red... and definitely not black.

High heat with cheap/bad oil can do red and black.
Obvious overheating and blown head gaskets can do this, but even a clogged PCV can do it over time as well.

It's just typical oil varnish. You can clean it off with a solvent, but then be sure to change the like. It really doesn't make any difference, though. It doesn't affect operation. Paraffin does, but not varnish.

 

i know it's apples to oranges but both my vr6 with 175k on it, and my friends dsm with 320k on it, both stock, un opened motors, look a light honey color, not like this. my single cam, with about 35k since rebuild, still looks brand new both in the block and under the valve cover.

 

car was mistreated and went long periods with the same oil (and not quality oil either... talking cheap stuff here). the oil baked off and left a nasty residue. you can add seafoam to your oil and over time those deposits will diminish; otherwise pull everything, have it hot-tanked and rebuild it all.
