First time I heard about the R having thinner windshields!?

Is that all around, or just the front and rear pieces?

That's an old vid from 96 I believe.

The fact that the car is 15 yrs old and Top Gear is still praising it to this day with that article with a date of 6/13/13 is very monumental.

I was always wondering why they haven't had one on the show, hopefully there will be a small video bit in the upcoming season of TG

Hell yea! The replies on the thread are awesome, it's amazing to see that people even aside from the states are sprung and hope to find one. It's even better to see this if you happen to own one with a clean title, original condition. & numbers matching excited to see what they will be worth once they officially become collector vehicles!

Just the windscreen. The part number is different. The door windows are the same as standard, as are the rear quarters(unless it's for a JDM type Rx as they're factory tinted), there are a few different rear screen versions; with rear wiper and high brake light, no rear wiper with high brake light and one with none of the former. Had a mate whose R got vandalised by some scumbags when they couldn't steal it, so he had to go through the Honda dealer's database.

Last months(May) issue in the UK and Ireland anyway. There was even a short video on the iPad/tablet version of the magazine.

Pity the rocker cover wasn't sorted though.

Ha ha no kidding. I have a particular love for the prelude (I have 2) but who knows what that dude is rambling on about.

Did UK type R's come with different tires? I don't remember 195's ever looking so skinny before. Or is it just the video?

Probably just the video No18 and since original rubber is as rare as rocking horse droppings, they're gonna be non standard anyway. IIRC they came with the same tyres as the US ones. The Japanese got a different tyre, being a 16 inch rim from 98 on. Europeans and the Aussies/New Zealanders got the 15 inch versions of the JDM multispoke rims, whereas folks in the US got the 15 inch JDM Civic ek9 type R wheels in silver/grey for some reason. Maybe the Japanese style rims didn't score well in pre release testing? I have to say I like the US wheels myself.
