Default exhaust pipe question

Hi there....honda accord 1990 DX

This darling is not driven during winter, but heck...maybe it is rusted anyway.

And this the frontal view

I noticed a noise (constant) , like two pieces of metal hitting each other . and It is the pipe taht goes into the silencer hitting around the hole as you can see in the picture. But there is no smoke getting out of that hole. what gives?

How can I fix this? (cheap option) Or should I replace the whole thing?

Default Re: exhaust pipe question

Replace the rear section. That muffler is toast. Even without being driven in the winter, with rain and being exposed to the elements, the mild steel will still break/rot/vibrate into deathitude.
