I have a 1995 Honda Accord EX v6 with the C27A. I bought the vehicle a few months ago knowing that it had some issues with a hard start, jumpy tach, speedometer wasn't working and it needed new brakes. Since buying the vehicle, I have replaced the plugs, wires, distributor rotor, dist cap, dist seals, ignition coil, pcv, ect, egr valve gasket, fuel filter and rear brakes. I have also cleaned the FITV, EGR ports and passages, EGR valve, TB and IACV. I assumed the hard start issue was the ignition coil and just poor maintenance (the car had not been well taken care of). I have now noticed that I am loosing coolant and I am unable to find any leaks upon visual inspection. Yesterday, after a short drive, I noticed that the radiator was almost completely empty and no coolant was visible. Before I realized it was empty, I notice that the vehicle was starting right up without any rough idle problems upon cold starts. This was abnormal because it has been hard to start since I bought it. I popped the hood after it kept starting up without any issues to see if I could figure out what was going on and that is when I noticed the car was basically out of coolant. Upon refilling the system and bleeding it, the hard start and rough idle came back. I am pretty sure the car probably has a blown head gasket and plan on doing a compression test and testing the cooling system. I just wanted to get some general opinions on the head gasket being the issue. The oil looks fine (not milky), but my guess is that coolant is leaking in the cylinder and causing the hard start due to a bad head gasket. After the car runs for 15-30 seconds, it idle and runs fine. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I have a previous post describing the rough idle in more detail.
