97 hatch fuel pump won't prime
Like the title says my fuel pump won't prime at first, eventually it will. It can take anywhere from 1 minute to 10 to eventually prime. I figured it was the main relay but I replaced that and it still does it, I checked all the fuses too. It's converted to obd1, don't know too much about that and im not sure if that would matter with this problem.
Ditto the above, most likely a bad ECU/ECM, or possibly a wiring issue.
Start by confirming you have power at IGP1 and IGP2, [the only yellow/black leads at the ECU/ECM] as soon as you turn on the ign. switch to the run position.
If good, check for a ground output on the green/yellow, [fuel pump relay control, or FLR]at the ECU/ECM, the only green/yellow at the ECU/ECM, you can also test for the ground on the green/yellow at the PGM-FI Main Relay, also as soon as you turn on the ign.
You must use a multimeter for testing the green/yellow, a 12V test light, [unless it is an LED type]will turn on the fuel pump relay. 94
