ScanGauge E to a non OBDII 98 Civic EX
Hi everyone,
I am looking to buy a ScanGauge E to my 98 Civic EX. This car is in Uruguay and not the US, therefore I guess it was not mandatory to have the OBDII port for this cars. Mine was made in the US but it has only 2 pin and 3 pin connectors.
I know there are some honda 3 pin to OBDII 16 pin adapters but I wonder if having one of this will make the ScanGauge E to work.
Any information or posible success cases?
Thanks!

No, the cable won't change the protocol used. Try my system.

I got same question, I've found by vin number my 1997 civic ex that was made in the US so it comes with OBDII port according the vin number results. However my car comes with 2 pin and 3 pin connector and I don't know why... So I purchased torque app, 3 pin to 16 pin cable and the ELM 327, but it doesn't works. I thought that it was because I got a p28 ECU on my car coz it's turbo. But I connect the OEM ECU and result is the same. Somebody knows if exist some way to make the torque app works with my civic? Thanks in advance!!!!
