Whats crazy is I believe on the box it says it should use TODA springs and valves only. What a knuckle head.
The block is really important cause of the B18C5 stamp ( American R ). Not so many around and new ones come blank from the dealer. I would say its a rare piece now a days

I did the same think to my h22 motor back in the day, threw in a pro2 cam (with matching vavlerain ) but didn't degree them, I got almost the exact same results.
It's a shame this guy tried it on a b18c5.
