1990 Honda Accord Service
Just looking for some opinions. Most involved auto repairs are beyond my ability.
I have a 1990 Accord LX which I believe has some suspension issues. The car only has 75000 miles - so the suspension could be mostly - if not all - original parts. I don't know exactly what it could be and wondered if it would be better to take it to a Honda dealer to replace with genuine Honda parts and have the Honda experienced mechanics maybe be able to isolate the problem better?
I also have a 91 accord LX with a leaking water pump. I understand if I am getting that replace I will also get the timing belt replaced. Would that be better at a Honda garage? Or no difference if I take it to a generic mechanic?
I appreciate just some general experiences and feedback with getting older Hondas serviced and maintained for someone not necessarily capable of alot of bigger DIY auto projects.
Thanks!

I considered upgrading to new vehicles but with our current budget decided to maintaining our older Hondas. Is it worthwhile to get them serviced / repaired at a Honda shop with Honda parts & the experience to diagnose problems?
Or with the age - just stick to local repair shops and non-Honda aftermarket parts?
I appreciate your opinions & suggestions.

I would suggest OEM Honda parts. As for service, the technician's ability is a better variable to focus on with service than the actual PLACE you bring it to service.
There are plenty of local shops that will not charge you $100/hr that are capable of doing the work.
If you need any parts, feel free to PM me.
