Hello everyone. The reason I joined the forums and started this thread is because I've recently been wanting to get a Honda and build it up as a little project. My father use to build muscle cars back in his day, but I'm a little more modern. I've come across a 91 Honda Civic Wagon AWD. My dream Honda. The only issue is, the previous owner throw a rod on the engine (Z6 swap). My question is, what other engines could I drop in with the other parts from the z6? I'm looking at a budget of around 500-1000 dollars, but I'd like to keep it on the lower end. I'd like to order an engine that I can drop in, tune up nicely, easily, but be reliable. Sorry if I'm not explaining anything well enough, feel free to ask me for any additional info. I'm new to Hondas, but not new to cars. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

 

I dont have much expirence with the wagon. Sorry I cant help. Go with the zc qnd boost it.

 

I think the zc dohc engine is d series unsure if will bolt on with your awd system

just get the stock d16a6 or another z6

 

You can install any D series engine from 88-00. It will drop right in.
