Icon2 obd1 hydraulic trans swap in ef, speedo?

my research shows that i can swap out the vss sensor and drop in my vss cable no problem. but, does the ecu need to see the vss and i would imagine it would set a dtc for vss no? thanks

further research shows that the vss code can be removed with chrome and the vss code can disable vtec. but i was hoping i wouldnt have to run chrome since i will be running a stock swap and dont want to have to chip and tune the stock engine. i guess the questions will be... is there another way to do this (minus cluster swap) and, is there a base tune available for a stock b16a gen 2 from chrome?

Yes, you can run a base tune for a b16 no problem.

Idk if there's another way, but who cares bc you'll get better power and fuel economy if you chip and tune.
