Leaking hatch hinge
Hey, I have a 96 Type R from Japan, and I've tracked down my water leak to be where my hatch hinge connects to.
This is what my interior currently looks like:

The water seams to collect and drip from the 12mm bolts for the hatch hinge. I didn't ever want to gut my car, I actually didn't know it could get louder in there. I'm wondering if anyone else ran into this issue before, as there is very little online about it. When I search I usually get threads about leaky tailights and sunroofs.
When looking online in the acura parts lists there was a gasket in between the hinge and car body, thinking that would solve my leak (it didn't) I bought it since it was $3 each side (part discontinued in canada) so I got it through the states. Now I don't want to just half *** this and just drill a hole under my seat.
I will most likely take the head liner off altogether after sunday (I'll be going to my first auto-X in this car) and it's my daily driver.
It was really dirty in here when I took the panels off.

Here's some more photo's just for looky-loo's:

I've been a long time lurker on honda-tech forums and posted very little, I will have to make a build thread sooner or later.

I just swapped out my hatch on mine what it is it has this hard silicone around the hinges they must be gone or almost if its leaking what you need to do is get a silicone for sealing like the one used when instaling windshields chizzle of whats left put new silicone let dry problem solved hope this helps.
Thanks for the input, I tried a bit of silicone when I was putting the gasket on but I guess exhaust silicone isn't good enough, are you talking about "seam sealer" then?
