That was quick. SOLD 6/9/13!!
Hi everyone. I'm selling my ITR
Selling ONLY for cash. No trades at all, please.
The car is located in the Chicago burbs. Please use this address for reference:
3004 Reflection Dr, Naperville, IL
Please plan on meeting at the address shown above. I cannot meet you anywhere else. I will pick you up from the airport if you need me to...in another car. But I am not willing to travel with my ITR at all. It is in storage.
A little brief info about the car:
-It has a CLEAN ILLINOIS TITLE IN MY NAME.
-Badge number (01-624) is still present on the arm rest.
-I bought this thing in 11/2010. I sold it in 8/2012 and bought it back in 12/2012 lol. I bought it back because I missed it a lot. I'm selling it again this time because I have to....not because I want to.
-The car is in great shape overall. It was stored during winters. so there is NO RUST on the car at all. Anywhere! The chassis and the body are both spotless!
-The chassis has 114k miles on it. The Engine/Trans are a JDM swap. It has the 4.78 FD trans. So it's quick!
-The tires are in great shape.
-The front brakes are literally about 10 miles old (Stoptech Street performance pads, centric rotors). The rear brakes have about 75% or so left (Hawk HPS pads, centric rotors). This is an excellent track and street setup.
-Brake fluid has been flushed with Valvoline Synthetic.
-Castrol Edge Synthetic oil change was just done about 1000 miles ago.
-Timing belt and water pump were done at 102k miles. Used all OEM Acura parts (T belt, water pump, cam seals, crank seal, and tensioner, as well as OEM Acura coolant).
-The car is very close to stock and comes with a few of the stock parts. Mods are listed in the details!
-Everything works. Power windows, power locks, power mirrors, ICE COLD AC, power steering. There is nothing that doesn't work.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THE CAR, PLEASE READ THE DETAILS BELOW. It's a long read....but will tell you everything you need to know about the car.
Maintenance items and mileage at which they were installed:
-T belt OEM ACURA - @102k miles
-Water pump OEM ACURA - @102k miles
-Tensioner and spring OEM ACURA - @102k miles
-Front cam/crank seals OEM ACURA - @102k miles
-Coolant OEM ACURA - @102k miles and again @114k miles (changed radiator)
-New accesory belts - @102k miles.
-Distributor CARDONE SELECT LIFETIME WARRANTY -@113k miles
-Spark plugs NGK - @110K miles
-Plug wires DENSO OEM - @113K miles
-OEM ITR clutch....should have about 25k on it now.
-Alignment just done about a week ago!!
-Replaced Front LCAs with 20k mile JDM ITR ones....for the fresh bushings.
Mods:
- Koni Yellow/GC with custom rates. 360F 380R. People are always complimenting this supsension and the car was very quick on the track as well as comfy on the street. About 6-7k miles on these. Stock springs included
-PLM RMF Narrow replica header (stainless steel). Stock manifold included
-Aluminum intake arm (painted crackle black) and AEM filter in stock air box
-N3E LSD JDM 4.78 FD trans. Shifts like butter. No grinds. SOOOOo much better than 4.4 FD. It has about 25k miles on it.
-Polyurethane shifter bushings.
-Fluidyne aluminum radiator with slim fans and shroud. (Used ACURA OEM coolant again).
-23mm JDM ITR rear sway bar.
-Pioneer head unit Stock head unit included.
-Phearable.net ECU with JDM ITR map. 5500RPM VTEC, 8750RPM Rev limit. Stock ECU included.
Brakes/tires/wheels:
-205/50R15 Yokohama ADVAN AD08. Tons of tread left
-FRONT: Stoptech Street Performance front pads, Centric rotors (brand new...like 10 miles on these)
-REAR: Hawk HPS and Centric rotors. Tons of life left.
-The car is set up well to go to the track. It's pretty quick out there....especially for how nice it is to drive on the street. I have tracked it a few times before and hope the new owner does as well. This means that it was very well taken care of and that all the maintenance was done at or before schedule. This DOES NOT mean that the car was beat up on.
-It is 100% solid, mechanically. The trans shifts like butter and does not grind. The clutch is strong and the car pulls well. The engine does burn a tiny bit of oil....which is very typical of Type R's. It currently went through about 0.25 quarts of synthetic oil in 800-1000 miles. So....not very much....just enough to leave a little soot on the bumper and make the car look all tough haha.
-NO LEAKS at all.
-I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. It runs/drives absolutely perfectly. I drove it back from TN from the person I sold it to. I drove the car absolutely everywhere from April till now. No issues at all.
-Cosmetically, it's in great shape as well. The exterior has a couple small (like half inch) scratches on the rear bumper as well as some scuffs on the lip and normal rock chips on the front end.
What you will find on the CARFAX:
- I am owner #7 and owner #9 lol. I just bought the car back in December before it started snowing. I stored it till April. And am deciding that sadly...it has to go....again.
- The car was involved in a minor accident in 2005, IIRC. The airbag did deploy. This doesn't mean much. IT STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL CORE SUPPORT....which is a good sign. All the body panels line up 100% and OEM Acura parts were used as replacements. Quality body work....it does not look like a crashed car at all. Car has no issues. CLEAN TITLE STILL. I don't believe that the carfax showed any frame damage. Like I said...MINOR accident.
-My price reflects the "issues" on the CARFAX. If you want a pristine, no accidents, 1 owner ITR to use as a museum peice, look elsewhere..... but plan to spend $15-18k+.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All that being said, the price is:
$10,250 or R EAS O N ABLE offer.
^Notice the effort put into the word "Reasonable". After that effort, I would hope that there are no lowballers.
The only bad thing I can think of about the car is related to the head unit. It doesn't fit perfectly in the dash. I was going to buy an install kit to resolve this....but unfortunately never had time. I also had to choose between the antenna always being up or always being down. I chose down. Again, the stock head unit is included. Or you can always buy an install kit.
No surprises!! The car is how I stated. I have gotten this thing ready for sale meticulously so that there would be nothing to complain about. New brakes, good tires, just aligned, fully maintained. Ready to go. It DOESN'T NEED ANYTHING!!
****REMEMBER THAT I CAN MEET AT 3004 Reflection Dr, Naperville, IL or pick you up at the airport in another car if need be. I don't plan on driving my ITR too far from storage.
****A note for any thieves: The car is not stored at my house. I will not meet at my house or the storage place, nor will I take anyone to the storage place. My phone is not registered to my house and neither is the car, FWIW. Wrong car. Wrong person.

Yep. He lives in the same town as you.
Nice dude. I figured he'd be annoyed to know I was re-selling it after bugging him to buy it back lol. I'm 200% sure I'll deeply regret selling this car...but...I'll repress my emotions like a normal person this time.
Sucks that you have to let it go, beautiful car. Ive been there before. I see you have an s2k to keep you happy though! GLWS
