i don't think so. top speed of gs-r is drag-limited. it's somewhere around 135 stock.

yes there is. it's at 125. anybody that says that they've gone over it is lying to you. stock speedometers are highly innaccurate past 95mph. if you wear a tin foil hat it will bypass the speed limiter.

indeed. the whole controversy involving speedometer error, aid of wind, variation from the mean, condition of engine, etc etc etc will be sure to pop up. i will leave it at that.

i've had mine over 135mph, and that was reading from a digital tach, it was at 6700-6800rpm (taking that 6500rpm in 5th is roughly 130mph) and the speedo needle was reading at 135, plus if i hadn't run out of road it would easily topped 140mph as it was still pulling reasonably strong up until that point

I've had my GSR a little over 140 w/ just AEM cai, greddy cat back and ACT clutch and 4 20-22 year old guys in the car.

Was going to fast to really focus on the speedo, just glanced at it, but it was over 140, under 145 so I'll say 142-143 but who knows how accurate it is at that speed.

so what youre saying is when my spedometer says 145, im really only going 125. i know its not that precise, but 20 mph is bullshit. i was doing 145 behind a friend that was going 135 and i was pulling on him.

you are full of it Jesse

I have heard about speed governor but so far other then LS redline 5th gear with GSR tran... I don't see why you can't pass 125MPH.

Tell you a fact.. i even did set cruse control at 125 MPH to cross I-70 for hours~
and on the way back home.. my friend just passed 125 MPH with his 94' RS(STOCK).

you had too much green i would say

I have hit 140+ mph. It will go that fast. Tegs are drag limited, not governed. GM cars are governed. A grand Prix GT wond go over 110 i believe. The car hits it and fuel shuts off. Also some German Cars - AMG's etc are governed at 155. They can hit it in 4th gear or in 5th gear. Our cars do have a fuel shutoff however. I believe it wil go 150 assuming there was no drag or you had enough power to get it there.
