Default some ef9?

Just a few questions for the folks with ef8 and ef9 experience.

If I get an ef9 or ef8 hood will I also need bumper, fenders and head lights or can the parts be mixed with ed6 parts?

Are ef9 head lights one piece with the corner light and if you get them do you need the fenders to make them fit right?

Thanks for the help.

I know the ef sedan are the only ones I think who are one piece headlights.

1: You will also need bumper, headlights, rad support. Fenders will fit.

2: They are not 1 piece, but they are a different shape. Again, fenders will work, but the rest will not.

Note: The EF8 and EF9 stuff is different. Make sure you get the proper items for your car.

The hoods and headlights are the same parts between EF8 and EF9.

You will need the proper t-bar too, or you will have to modify your current t-bar or the hood won't close.

Depends if your wanting to do the whole thing correctly, or just mix match some parts. What is your goal?

My goal really is just to give it a little more aggressive lines without going overboard and since many if not all the body kits I have ever seen for these civics logos awful I was going with some jdm hybrid. Hoping to use some of the parts to enhance the line without falling into that "JDM civic" category. I just want a way to enhance the lines but be able to keep it personal and different. If that makes any suggestions sense. Guess I'm just going to have to do some more research.

Well if you just want the look of the JDM hood, but dont want to spend almost a grand for all the other parts, they make a Carbon Fiber "JDM Style" hood that is a direct fit onto USDM cars. And if you dont want the CF look, just paint it lol

Yep. What he said. I believe they are somewhere around $600 though..not exactly the cheapest option for such a minor change.

He could also get the carbon fiber ZC hood(it has the little bump which is more uncommon). OP just look up crx zc hood. They have it in carbon fiber or normal metal. I'll post what mine looks like(carbon fiber), although the paint is fading on the hood over the years.

Actually, it usually is the cheapest option. The real oem JDM hoods are anywhere from $300 and up, USED. Add in the bumper, t bar, headlights, etc, and you are looking at WELL over a grand. And that's all used stuff. A BRAND NEW carbon fiber hood is in the $600 range. Used ones can be found for under $300, although they are still pretty rare.

I know all too well how much all that stuff cost, haha. Mostly just saying for $600, the "jdm" hood isnt going to change much in the way of the overall looks of the car. But Ive been known to spend lots of money or dumber things, so all the power to him! haha!

I agree with you. The Hood wouldn't change much. What I think would change the look and be cheap would be in my opinion, carbon fiber ZC hood, modify t bar to work with JDM bumber, keep the stock fender and just drill out what you need to put the side markers on the fenders. All you truly need is the hood/lights/bumper. If there are little gaps oh well, we all drive 20+ year old cars haha.

I love you guys
Literally right before I read this I got off the phone with the my guy at the shop talking about those ef3 hoods. OEM 200-250$ and 60-90 days wait for a used one. 450$ for carbon fiber 7-10 business days. I think that's what I might be going with. It should look nice with the charcol metal grey I'm going to get her painted. And I might actually save some not having to get a hood painted. Any who... anyone with experience with 94 legend front lips?

Just make sure the hood will work with the bumpers/lights/t-bar/etc that you have. If not, add a few hundred on top!
