h22 header ?'s
i am just asking a simple ?
I have a h22a swap in my 94 civic and i am running the OEM original header and a 97 01 downpipe. The header is in horrible condition and a major eyesore. I want to replace it with a cheap header and possibly do the 2.5" collector mod.
My question is. Would i in any way LOSE power by using a cheapo ebay header? I know everyone says do it right or don't do it at all and if i could i would but i have a 4 month old son and a unemployed wife and money is tight and i Cannot afford a nice expensive header.
Please do not freak out on me and give me advice on better headers. I just want to know if the ebay 4 - 2 -1 header would keep my hp/tq the same or even gain a few...If it will LOSE power i will just keep my old one on for awhile longer

Shouldnt LOSE power, just don't expect gains.
Honestly, I have run my car with an Ebay header since I H22 swapped it 8 years ago, all the way to last night, when I finally bolted up my new Logic header. Aside from issues with the studs and nuts that hold the downpipe on, it has been just fine.

H22 Headers for the buck:
Best quality: Vibrant 2.5" collector 4-2-1 . Will make most power compared to ebay cheapo. Best Fitment. $6 bills. Should clear stock front cross member.
Most Power: Logic Motor Sports Tri Way. Nice runner size and collector. Probably will make 5-10 whp more. Must add flex pipe and expect to patch up cheap China welds often. Wont clear stock cross member without notching or run a Traction Bar System... $4 bills

Keep your stock header.
You will need a tune to actually take advantage of a better flowing header.
If you have no money then don't waste it on a egay piece of junk that will crack and leak.
