CAR : 91 civic std hb

hi everyone...I changed the steering rack on my car ....After i installed the new steering rack ... i installed the steering wheel column back wit the joint...i took the car to alignment.. after the alignment the man told me the steering wheel was 180 degress off (upside down).. do i need to go back and loose up the joint and turn it to the right point on the pinion..or do i need to take off the steering wheel ??? car stays straight after the alignment HELP HELP
