89 dx completely rust free(rare), in michigan anway. both front fenders and hood messed up a little so i put a jdm front end on it. i paid to much (1300) if i was just going to drive it, but that is not why i wanted it. i guess i have a little over 5k into her now, and a lot more to go! all cash all the time, is the only way to go.

got my civic hatch SE for $100.00 canadian, thats about $64 american
all it really NEEDED was some body work, cv axles, and taillight seals. also, the engine bay wasn't looking that nice
although i've done a lot more than that, and i mean a LOT more, :
complete brake job, all around
suspension
took the engine out, cleaned and painted it, and replaced plugs, oil filter, most gaskets, timing belt, distributor cap and rotor.....
theres a whole lot more than that too, just dont wanna make this post too long

Seller was asking $1,000 cash, non-negotiable.
Lower control arm bent on passenger side.
Passenger side fender mutilated from wreck.
Bumper torn on passenger side.
Passenger side front wheel bearing shot
Clutch barely hangin on
Driver side axle was bad
Brakes shot but included new rotors and pads for front.
Interior was ripped and stained.
Car supposedly had a clean title and an Si swap....
....turned out to be a Salvage title with original motor & rebuilt head.
Rectangular chevy nova style sxhaust tip
Offered $400, negotiated to $500
SOLD to Erik for $500!
I drove it straight to walmart, bought a case of flat black colorfast spray paint, and went to town. Bought a fender for $20, got clear corners for free, got a 1991 Si bumper for $30 with euro's. got an n1 style muffler on eBay for $49 and had 2.5" pipe welded up for $50 from the header.
Nothing to complain about yet... I average 37 MPG on a tank.

EDIT: Swapped in the leather seats from my 96 Integra, put my Pioneer headunit and XM radio, soldered up two new kenwood speakers, and tossed my two 15-w6 JL Audio's in the trunk. She's the best beater I could ask for.... for $500 that is, lol

'90 Civic Si... about $10,300 US in October, 1989. 3 miles on the Odometer. Just over 254,000 miles now.
That must be very nice. 10.3 is a great price too. Wish they'd make our cars again. I'd buy two, for the price of one today.
I finally got my dad to give me the one he bought new in 90 a couple years ago after he bought a Lincon LS. A year an a half of totally stock driving, now another year and a half of adding mods, motors & tinkering...
