This is the build thread, Where I will be documenting progress as well as pictures of my 1995 civic dx coupe.

So I have had about 50 cars give or take, trading and selling and such, and I was ready to actually full out build my second car ever. First one was a 470whp jdm front gsr turbo. So anyways here it is:

Bought the coupe for 2200$ with a ls turbo, Was suppose to have JE pistons and eagle rods, and a comp 5 clutch kit. Well regardless the guy lied, and it was a bone stock ls with a XTD 4 puck clutch kit. So I then decided to go all out.

The day I bought it

The engine bay, generic ls turbo, couple nice parts, Real Greddy types, real turbosmart, real garrett 60-1, gsr trans, neptune.

Next morning after I cleaned it up a bit.

Had a tiny fmic on it, so I switched it out with the 12" ebay polished I had in the garage, I also sold the 00 si seats that were in it and put some del sol seats, and a autopower 4 point roll bar.

Then pulling into my girlfriends house one night, her neighbor ran a stop sign and hit the 1/4 panel. I ended up going to geico to get a appraisal done. They cut me a big fat check and totaled the coupe, However since It was "so old" the rep didnt want the title and didnt make any notes on it!!!

I then used the money to buy a daily driver and decided to build the coupe.

Bought a brand new Full-Race proam t3 topmount and it ended up being dseries. Well he was a good sport, I met him the next day and he gav me my money back.

Then turned my attention to the turbo, My buddy on here gave me a steal on a borg warner s300/366sx .81
Brand new! I already removed the mesh before anyone says anything.

Started to buy turbo parts, and a build engine. I got a great deal on a b16 head, and bought a buddys jdm gsr bottom end.

Got a killer deal on a brand new Edelbrock victor x intake manifold, also picked up some 1200cc bosch injectors.

Intake mated with the fuel rail (i ended up switching to inlinepro), 1200cc injectors, and a external aeromotive fuel pressure regulator.

B16 head, skunk2 pro1 cams, supertech valvetrain, and then purchased a different topmount, a custom twin scroll t4 topmount and was going to use dual tial 44 mvrs

I took a ton of pictures in between, Ill post more at work on Monday. Here are the most recent of the car.

I love how cleanly the IC fits into the bumper cutout, always been a fan of polished slips to, one of these days!

I ran a screen on an s400v at 45psi... but that was for giggles on a 24ft box truck lol

Definitely run a filter. Screen has less free airspace vs. A filter, especially the larger mesh. Someone posted a site forver ago that showed you how much airspace screen took up for an inputted size and type. Needless to say a filter flows more.

And with todays dry, oilless filters the restriction is minimal.

i predict within the next 10 pages there is going to be pictures of disaster when that mesh screen comes off and gets sucked into the turbo. Happens every single god damn time lol.

mesh screen bad?

I have my placed by my velocity stack vs. on the turbo, I figure it would be safer that way.

Awesome. Going to be a track only car? I do some daily work with mine with one of the Xenocron screens on it. I keep it on for the track, have never ran without it, not really sure I trust it without it on a forward facing setup.

Over the weekend I ordered some CNC top hats to clean the bay up a bit more, also removed gas tank to sump, and started running lines. Heres some new pics:

I have the Tein Super Street series dampeners and they had stock top hats, I bought new nuts and top hats to clean up.

First time ever making SS hoses, and I must say it absolutely sucked. I got the hang of it now though.

Used this bad boy to cut the lines, So much easier lol

Started to pull the tank out. See all that pretty neochrome :-p

Tanks out time to sump!

Empty underside.

Yes and no, mostly track, However I will drive to local meets and such, and I wil not be getting on it, I will probably run a 4" xenocron filter.
