I'm trying to figure out where my wiring is wrong. When I connect my cruise system to its power source, I get a code 16 (fuel injector) and the engine cranks but will not start. When I disconnect the cruise, everything works fine again.

The following is a summary of everything the cruise control is tapped into on the car. (1990 crx, d15b2 dual point.) Could any of these wires effect the injector or cause the code 16 somehow?

-VSS wire at the ECU
-blue tach wire at the gauge cluster
-brake pedal switch hot wire
-brake pedal switch cold wire
-unused fuse slot #16 on the fuse box (+12v source I chose to power the whole cruise system.)

 

Both my injectors check out, the only thing I can figure is that hooking up the cruise is either A. cutting power, or B. breaking ground to the main fuel relay.

I just don't see how this could be possible with the above list of wires I'm tapped into.

(On a side-note, cruise passes all it's self diagnostics, so it appears I hooked it up correctly.)

 

Wish I could help, but I just snagged most everything I need for a cruise setup aside from pedal assembly and switches to put in my 88 si. How difficult and time consuming was the install so far?
