01 CRV Doorlocks and Dome Light Issues
Our 01 has started having issues with its door locks and dome light. It won't lock using the stock keyless entry, it will unlock still. The other issue is when you unlock it sometimes it seems that the lock will not pop all the way up and stay locked. You either have to lock/unlock over and over until it pops all the way up or try to use the key in the door to get it to pop all the way up to unlock. Either way can take awhile for it to work. Also sometimes when you unlock it and you go to pull the door handle it will lock on you. Another issue is you can't unlock it using the lock button inside the car.
If you have the key in the ignition with the car off it will beep at you, similar to leaving the lights on even though they are off. Also the dome light will not shut off with the door closed, causing us just to switch it off.
Anyone have any ideas? Is there a simple switch that needs to be replaced? Trying to get it fixed asap since the wife works late at night and its not the safest for her not being able to get quickly in the car at her store. Having the locks and dome light working correctly would give us piece of mind.

It's most likely some broken wires that run through the door and the body. I would check there first, because that will cause things to act up and make things work all different and work with each other it the wires are touching, so check the wiring there first.
Also check your lock actuators. My drivers side door would not lock at all via the switch in the door because the actuator was gunked/siezed up.
I took it out of the car which isn't fun and cleaned it up real good and covered it in white lithium grease, solved it for me.
The locking mechanisms are inside they door panel and are exposed to moisture and elements that can cause them to get rusty or gunky over time.

2. Each door has a lil switch on the body where the door closes, when the doors close they push in these lil black switches that turn off the dome light.
I would open the doors then push in all the switches to see which one turns off the dome light, that way you know if its the switch or something beyond that!
