Anyone ever try skunk2 drag launch springs?
I have skunk2 coilovers right now, I've been thinking of just going to a spring set up...but I wouldn't mind keeping the skunks to use the drag springs on the back, just switch em out before a track day, the rate on them is 900 or 1000...for less squat I guess, but has anyone had any experience with these? These are almost the only thing that makes me want to keep the coilovers and not switch to springs. thanks, -sean
I just put them on my '92 Si.
They defintiely work in keeping the car from squatting on launches and in between shifts.
Once I have some time, I'll upload videos of my runs, before and after the Skunk2 coilovers. You can see the squat before.
They really feel shitty on the street though. Car bounces. Almost feels like your kidneys are about to explode.

Part of the reason they feel so shitty is the shocks you combine them with.
You need a stock that can 'control' the compression and rebound of those harsh springs...like a revalved Koni.

Well I don't care what kind of shock/strut you use they are ALWAYS going to feel HARSH (and that's a nice word to use for a 1000lb. rated spring vs. about the 400-500 stock springs
) That is because of the spring rate they were not meant for street so they are gong to feel really rough on the street if you say change them before you leave to the track drive there and then drive home they are going to be rough as hell while you are on the street becasue they are not going to want to compress barelly that's the point of them they kepp you level or if they do squat a little it forces you right back on the front quick as hell... These would eb some bouncy springs I would guess if you were on the street... Well hope this helps.
