Default H22 timing issue

rebuilt a h22a4 and dropped it into a 94 eg hatch. Had it running but then the automatic tensioner failed. Who would have thought. I noticed the ticking pulled over and shut the car off. When I tried to start it my tbelt skipped 5 teeth and now the intake cam is off by one tooth. Only cranked over once before I let go.

So now with the new h23 manual tensioner I tried putting cams back to tdc and the intake cam wants to move right back to where it was not allowing me to put the tbelt on correctly. Anyone have suggestions?

I don't think I bent a valve because h22 is only interference in vtec and I was only starting the car.
