Default High flow oil pumps (H/F series) ???

Hello,

Am sure this has been discussed before. I searched and unable to find a clear opinion about what is what, decided to create this thread.

Got a build g23 (thus looking for f23 pump). Why high flow / pressure - cause i want to hit 8000 rpm and stock f23 block redline at 6800. Further want to add oil cooler to the setup. And a oil cooled turbo on the way.

Want to make it lubrication happy before i toast something. My first build am scared, hope the big boys can help.

From what i understand, the facts are the following:

1. Most builders are using OEM pumps with or without DIY shims
2. Some change the oil pump gears - from a h22 - prospective, read pro drive gears shatter quick.
3. TOGA (NOT TODA) oil pump - supposed to be high flow, someone reviewed it on d-series if am not wrong. Perfectly OEM unit just polished ports and shim.
4. DPR racing - spoke to them they said they could mod (blueprint, lap, wpc coat the gears) a pump, but still waiting on exact details.
5. Edyne said they could do one but little light and they said they are packed with work so am expecting delays, light on details as in what they do to the pump, pretty sure they keep stock gears.
6. Morosso external pump - serious dow and over KIll IMO
7. KMS - say them on ebay, were quick to reply said can get ready to ship etc. OEM oil pump + mod work... ANY EXPERIENCE WITH THESE GUYS???

I hope anyone - someone can shed some light.

Kind Regards

OEM pump imo with a balance shaft delete.

As a result of the balance shaft delete you will see higher oil pressures and increased volume.

The oil cooler will help with oil temps and is not a bad idea but fair warning it will cause a slight drop in oil pressure as well.

I already have the Kstuned balancer shaft delete kit on the engine.

I need the oil cooler, as even 20-30 min of pulling to the top revs hits the oil temp at 230C

STock h22 blocks have a oil cooler on the filter, i was unable to transfer that onto the F23 block.

I agree about the oil pressure drop, that is why am going for the smallest possible oil cooler and trying to find a pump to do a good job.

ANYONE HAS OPINIONS ON ACCUSUMPS from canton racing??? was thinking a basic 2 quart unit with the cable manual valve for "if the **** hits the fan measure" - OVERKILL?

Kind Regards

UPDATE "KMS development replied" below:

"
We take a brand new factory Honda oil pump, open it up, shot peen the gear set, balance the gear set, remove flaws from transition that may cause turbulance, change spring, set pressure, test and ship.

You can expect 10% pressure and flow increase over factory pump.

Yes. (Do you shim, blueprint, lap, polish, port????)

Thanks,

KMS"

SAY WHAT sir's?
