Default want a home made turbo setup..help me?

well i have a d16z6 in my crx. it was fun. but not fast enough. i rebuilt the block. new piston rings, bearings, seals/gaskets..blah blah. new timing belt and oil pump. running a p28 ecu and all OBD-1 stuff.

ok, now that u know everything. i can't afford a turbo kit. but i could afford about $800 max if i had to. if anybody can give me a parts list..wht car to get what stuff from. i would greatly appriciate it. or you could PM me. PLEASE help me people that have done this.

Ok, here's the easiest thing. A Greddy SOHC kit is what would be optimal for you, but it will cost a little more than $800 (I got mine w/ BOV, FMIC, FMU, everything for $1200 used).

How much power do you want? This will determine your turbo choice. If you want a nice quick spool with decent power, a 1g DSM 14b (TD05H) is the way to go. Talk to Bryson for help; he is the f*ing man when it comes to homemade turbo's in EF's.

HF mani w/ adapter plate and the TD05H. You will then need:

-A downpipe. Custom fabricated, or get the DSM one (Not sure if it will work, b/c theirs comes off more on the drivers side and you'll be fighting w/ your crossmember the entire time)
-If you get the entire turbo off the DSM, it's going to come w/ the internal WG. It's set at 11psi stock, so you're going to need to turn it down a little bit w/ a manual boost controller of some sort. I use a $20 Home Depot controller, and it works beautifully.
-Intercooler (If you want one). Yet again, I would suggest the DSM for this part. Their SMIC's are awesome, and you can really use the 1.75" piping to your advantage. This will allow QUICK spooling, and can easily handle the power of the TD05H
-BOV. Again, the DSM is the choice for cheap. Get the entire setup (BOV, piping, SMIC, turbo housing, and DP from the DSM). My friend got EVERYTHING for his 2.0 DSM for $100... You wont find that probably, but look.
-Oil/Water lines. The water line you tap in to your IACV (Or going to the TB). Oil you will tap coming out the back of the block at the Oil Pressure Switch. This has been discussed to no end. Do a search and that'll help you for it.
-Fuel. Many choices here. Cheapest/Best in my opinion; SMC w/ DSM 450cc injectors (1g DSM, blue tips, can't miss them). SMC is going to cost you $110+s/h from http://www.diabloautosports.com and the injectors ~$50 shipped ( http://www.dsmtrader.com or http://www.thepartstrader.com). DON'T SKIMP ON THIS. This is one of the major killers of our engines. Make sure it's done right, and you wont be doing it again.
-Exhaust. What do you have now? If you're runnin on that purdy 2.25" exhaust w/ the fartcan, ditch it. Go 2.5" or even 2.75" w/ a nice free flowing muffler. You'll love the spool response, and it wont sound as bad as 3.0"; but will flow plenty for what you're doing.

Other-Vacuum T's, vacuum line, fuel line, oil lines, etc...

LMK, or PM me if you need any help w/ it. It's basically the same thing as the ZC to do, and I'm here if ya need anything.
