Ticketed for no hood, although I have a hood installed.
Stupid *** Lynnwood bike cop stopped me for "not having a hood" after pointing out the large black object covering my engine bay he still cited me. Are these clowns for real?
I checked the rcw and it says nothing about the hood covering the engine, only prohibits protrusions that are hazardous to pedestrians.

RCW 46.37.517
Body and body hardware.
(1) The body, fenders, and bumpers shall be maintained without protrusions which could be hazardous to pedestrians. In addition, the bumpers shall be so attached and maintained so as to not protrude beyond the original bumper line.
(2) The hood, hood latches, hood fastenings, doors, and door latches shall be maintained in a condition sufficient to ensure proper working equal to that at the time of original vehicle manufacture.
Im pretty sure that means you can't "modify" your hood in any way.
Sounds like that cop was having a slow day.

Ahh yeah I missed that.
OP, show up in court on the appointed day and fight the charge.
Tickets like that are pretty easy to get out of.
