Hey im buying a 1990 Civic si soon.
I was just wondering if you guys knew the insurance rate, or a rough estimate.


1) I'm 18.
2) The car is red ( I was told it affects that )
3) I live in MN.
4) I have had my license for 2 years, but the car i drove was under my moms name, and i was actually never on her policy. I did have a 92 accord under my name and insurance for about 3 months. But thats about it for documented history.

 

There are more variables than those you mentioned (driving record, credit score, where you live, etc) that any guess would be just that, a guess. Just call your agent or do an online quote.

 

i used to pay 220 a month when i was your age. now i pay half that for two cars. the area you are in affects rates greatly, people from other states can't really help you. just call around.

 

If you can't afford insurance on a 23 year old Honda, I suggest walking for transportation.

 

I'm 22, currently with statefarm paying $84 a month.

A guess is just a guess. Do an online quote as previously stated. That will give you a rough estimate.
