Half Shaft bearing replacement
Anyone ever replace a half shaft bearing? i just got one in the mail today and what do ya know? bad bearing...
I do alot of stuff but changin a halfshaft bearing is not one of them although i am up for a challenge! Of the hundreds of hondas we have worked on or built or swapped i have never had to fix a halfshaft i always just replace them. :/
btw this is on a bseries halfshaft from a 94 01 teg

This is the best I could get its from my Prelude Manual but its the same procedure in which to put in the bearing and reassemble the half shaft. Goodluck.

Yeah you will need a press and definitely take your time doing this job. Or you can always purchase an entire half shaft and go from there. But if you have the tools and time to do it might as well save some money and do the bearing replacement.
i have a half shaft already. i bought one off of ebay and it was "in 100% working condition" well they lied..it has a bad bearing... i really do not want to replace the bearing... it seems simple but i damn sure don't feel like doing it.
Well then you have options available to you:
1. Get another half shaft, or try to return the shaft you bought off of eBay if the seller will let you.
2. You can take the shaft to a shop with a new bearing and have them do the work for you.
There now that's not so confusing. Good luck on your bearing change.
